An optional, fun tournament format is where players' Warbands are restricted to contain heroes of a single race. In the past, we have run events like this on a small scale with an abundance of proxies. However, with at least 36 hero models available by the end of the year, we are running a 3v3 Pick & Ban Faction Tournament at Warfaire Weekend 2020.
The Faction Tournament follows all the standard rules for a competitive event, including the use of both the Cobblestone and Swamp maps. However, each player must choose a Warband using models from one of the five major races.
The only caveat to this is players are allowed to replace a hero from their chosen race with one mercenary.

For the Warfaire Weekend tournament, the highest placed player, for each race, will receive a patch representing the race they played. The winner of the event will receive a special-edition patch that represents the fact they won the tournament using a particular race. Over time, we envisage these patches will become highly sort after as a badge of honour that illustrates a player's skill with various races.
We have always maintained that Judgement is most balanced when played without hero restrictions for Warband composition. However, the faction tournament format is a fun way to get some tribal competitiveness happening and also introduces the option of themed campaign weekend style tournaments with the five major races pitched against each other in an epic struggle for supremacy on Between or Athien.
